| Description | The Mental Health Specialist position has primary responsibility for mental health services and case management services to adolescents and their families. This position provides mental health services (including assessment and evaluation) and other services to clients referred to the Community Service Program. He/she acts as liason with external agencies and functions on teams with other clinical & support staff.
MIN QUALFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
*Master’s degree in a Mental Health Field plus two years experience in a mental health field and registration as Intern.
*Experience should be with children or adolescents (preferred) in residential or outpatient settings.
*Registered MFCC or LCSW Internship in California
*Valid California Driver’s License.
*Ability to relate to child with emotional disturbances and their families.
*Ability to drive to and from client’s homes in personal vehicle.
*Ablility to perform clear and concise documentation.
*Knowledge of Communicate Resources, especially related to the Mental Health field, is highly desirable to make appropriate linkages
