A police department in Massachusetts received a grant to engage youth in a music program. They reached out and asked SBHG’s Matt Wilczynski to join them to get the program going and the Arts and Music Police Partnership (AMPP) Collaboration between the police department (PD) in Worcester, Mass on the east coast and SBHG on the west coast was started. Matt traveled to Worcester and Boston to get in on the ground floor of their start up and brought the ideas and energy back to our clients at SBHG. Youth from the program in Worcester and clients from around southern California collaborated on the song “17 Lives,” a beautiful music video celebrating the lives and honoring the deaths of the 17 students and staff killed in the Parkland, Florida shooting that occurred just days before Matt went to work with the PD in Worcester.
