Los Angeles, California – Central Star Behavioral Health is now open and operating a Crisis Residential Treatment Program (CRTP) located on the Olive View UCLA Medical Campus in Sylmar. The facility is one of nine CRTPs in LA County dedicated to supporting adults facing mental health challenges or recent crises. The center is committed to enhancing community well-being by providing a variety of programs and treatments that support individuals on their path to mental wellness.
The 24/7 program is specifically designed for adults aged 18 and above. It offers a comprehensive range of services, including physical and psychological evaluations, medical support, individualized recovery planning, and case management. The center also aims to empower individuals by assisting them in accessing essential resources such as medical, educational, vocational, employment, housing, and other necessary services.
The expansion of mental health crisis services in Los Angeles County will include the establishment of an additional 15 CRTPs over the next year, situated across four Los Angeles County medical facility campuses. The new centers will complement the existing countywide mental health crisis system, which comprises urgent care centers and mobile crisis teams overseen by the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health (DMH), specifically the Intensive Care Division (ICD).
Referrals are being accepted from Los Angeles Department of Mental Health Intensive Care Division, as well as county hospitals, acute inpatient units, urgent care centers, and law enforcement. Walk-ins will not be accepted. For more information you may contact (818) 290-5308 or learn more about our LA County Crisis Residential Treatment Programs.
