My stay was welcome and beneficial in many ways. During my stay here, I was granted the opportunity to learn coping skills and gain knowledge using WRAP (Wellness Recovery Action Plan). The staff, consisting of therapists, clinicians, counselors, cooks, and peer mentors were all very friendly and approachable. From the first day here, this program was a safe and welcoming space; a space where one can safely talk about difficult and sensitive issues one may be going through. Alongside mental health treatment, I had the opportunity to take Yoga classes, Hip Hop, learn meditation techniques, as well as plenty of artistic expression through painting, drawing, and writing. Also, the space is very welcoming to different genres of music, the LGBTQ community, different cultures and backgrounds, and a variety of mental health and rehabilitation issues. I can honestly say that there is a great team of people here who are kind and genuine, and serve as great role models to all participants. They will help out with any trouble you may have with housing, medications, or even clothing. The program also helped me follow up with outpatient treatment upon leaving, so that I can continue taking care of my mental health, and keep living a healthier life overall. I am so grateful that I had the chance to be here, because they have helped me form a yellow brick road to my success.
