Recently, Valley Star opened a Crisis Walk-In Center (CWIC) in Yucca Valley, in addition to a One Stop TAY Center for young adults.
The Crisis Walk-in Center (The CWIC, pronounced “Quick”) provides crisis stabilization services 24/7 to individuals in the Morongo Basin and surrounding areas. Located at 7293 Dumosa Avenue in Yucca Valley, the CWIC assists people of all ages experiencing significant emotional or psychological stress who are in need of immediate access to mental health services. The CWIC can accommodate as many as 12 individuals at one time and is expected to lessen the burden on hospitals and law enforcement.
The TAY One Stop helps young adults ages 16-25 focus on their goals for employment and career, community life functioning, educational opportunities, and living situations. Amenities like showers, laundry, phone and internet services are also available on site.
