Crisis Mobile Response Team Responds Overnight
The Valley Star Crisis Mobile Response Team (CMRT) in San Bernardino County is a specialized group of mental health professionals that deploy to quickly respond 24/7 to those experiencing a mental health, drug, or alcohol-related crisis. Valley Star is working with San Bernardino County’s Department of Mental Health provide these crisis services in the High Desert Region of the county evenings and overnight. The team can come to someone’s home, school, or even meet them in the community. The service is free, confidential, and 24/7 for individuals of all ages experiencing a psychiatric emergency and/or in need of crisis intervention.
The primary goal of a Crisis Mobile Response Team is to assess, de-escalate, and offer appropriate resources to individuals facing a crisis. Those experiencing a crisis who might have sought help in a hospital emergency room can now connect with mental health professionals in a faster and more personal way. Valley Star’s clinicians and peer support specialists have the expertise to manage these situations in a manner that facilitates recovery and reduces hospitalization.

- Depression/Anxiety
- Drug or alcohol-related crisis
